HOW TO RECOGNIZE THE RIGHT DERMO-COSMETIC

Who wants to make a choice of consumer awareness in the field of dermo- cosmetics has various tools that can help him, the most complete is the INCI.
The adoption of the code INCI has been made mandatory from the 1st January 1997 by the European Commission , in order to provide additional protection for the consumer.

The names of the ingredients are listed using an international code , said INCI ( International Nomenclature for Cosmetic Ingredients ), the same for all EU countries and used in other countries , such as USA, Russia, Brazil, Canada , South Africa , etc ., in this way each of us can know the composition of products identifying the presence of the substances to which you are allergic and substances that would not normally be present.

THE LIST OF INGREDIENTS INCI ACCORDING TO THE CODE
As required by the law , the label must include the list of ingredients contained in the dermo- cosmetic preceded by the word “ingredients ” or ” ingredienti”.
This nomenclature contains some terms in Latin (referring to the botanical name and those of the ingredients present in the pharmacopoeia ) , while the majority is in English and in the case of dyes are used according to the Colour Index numbers (eg CI 45430 ).

QUALITY OF THE DERMO-COSMETIC CAN TO CONCLUDE THE POSITIONING OF INGREDIENTS
Ingredients are listed in descending order of weight at the time.
This rule applies to substances that reach concentrations bigger than or equal to 1%.
The ingredients that are present in less than 1% , however, may be listed in any order .
